Not completely. Startpage privately obtains results from Google, Bing and other providers, which may use AI. However, it does not currently focus on open-ended generative summaries, and most Instant Answers can be disabled.
Is an AI-free search engine automatically private?
No. Avoiding AI does not guarantee that searches are anonymous. Always review whether the service stores IP addresses, logs queries, creates profiles or shares data with third parties.
